Lou Morecraft, 76, of Marshall, IL passed away 1:01 PM Monday, October 15, 2012 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN. She was born July 9, 1936 at Martinsville, IL, the daughter of Clyde Ray and Threasa Alverda Eyestone Brosman. She married Charles Robert Morecraft on Dec. 4, 1954 at Terre Haute, IN. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Robb (Companion - Lindy Young) Morecraft of Hanna City, IL, Rusty (Libby) Morecraft of Oblong, IL and Ron (Debra) Morecraft of Vandalia, IL; grandchildren, April (David) Kelly, Andy Morecraft, Jeff Morecraft, Lane Morecraft, Drew Morecraft, Sean Morecraft, Audree Morecraft and Emily Morecraft; great grandchildren, Anthony Scott, Logan Scott, Autumn Kelly and Ethan Kelly; two sisters, Marilyn Shotts of Martinsville, IL and Dottie (Bill) Lee of Martinsville, IL. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerel Brosman and a brother-in-law, Bob Shotts. She was a devoted member of the Marshall Missionary Baptist Church. She volunteered her time with the Lunch Buddies Program of the Marshall Schools, Lincolnland Hospice, Meals on Wheels, the English Second Language Program and GAP Prison Ministries. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School. Services in honor of her life will be at the Marshall Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Ellis and Bro. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday and 7:00 AM until service time Friday the church.
