Martha Jean Warner, 92, of Marshall, IL passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 in Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing in Marshall. She was born April 20, 1928 at Marshall, IL, the daughter of William Earl and Reba R. Long Scott. She married Jack Owen Warner on June 22, 1947 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2001. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Earl Warner, Danny Warner and Donny Warner. Surviving are a daughter, Alicia “Lisa” Warner Lashbrook of Lake Havasue City, AZ; a son, Keith (Laura) Warner of Hillsboro, OH; daughters-in-law, Jane Warner, Pam Warner and Carole Ann Warner all of Marshall, IL and Tammie Warner of Terre Haute, IN; a sister, Alice Scott O’Neil of Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church of Marshall and was active with Helping Hands and Vacation Bible School and with the funeral dinners of the church. She participated in the Lunch Buddy Program and assisted Ms. Cutshall’s class voluntering to assist students with projects at North Elementary School. She was a volunteer and the Marshall Food and Clothing Bank, Friends of the Library, volunteer at Camp Illinia-Washington , IN and Butler Springs Camp at Hillsboro, IL and enjoyed a lifetime of playing games with friends and family. Private burial was held at the Ohio Cemetery, rural West Union, IL. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 PM April 24, 2021 at the First Christian Church at Marshall.
