Mary Alice Ogle Alexander, 91, of Marshall, IL passed away 3:20 AM Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 at the Burnsides Community Care Center in Marshall. For many years she assisted her husband and son in their family owned and operated business, Alexander’s Building and Supply. She was born Nov. 15, 1926 in Clark Co., IL, the daughter of Claude Austin and Ada Marie Davison Ogle. She married John Everett Alexander Sr. on Oct. 29, 1949 and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2002. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Elaine Ellshoff of Marshall; a daughter-in-law, Donna Elaine Thompson Alexander of Marshall; a granddaughter, Kimberly Marie Ellshoff Baugher of Marshall; a grandson, John Clifford Alexander of Marshall; two great grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Baugher and Kobe Arthur Baugher; a half brother, Jerry Ogle and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, John Everett Alexander Jr. on Jan. 13, 2001; two brothers, James and Richard Ogle and two sisters, Dorothy Ogle and Thelma Hegstrom. Mary Alice was a homemaker and devoted her entire life to her family for which she was very proud. Services in honor of her life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Joy Starwalt officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday.
