Mary E. Comer, 83, of Martinsville, IL passed away 8:23 PM Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 at her home.

She was formerly employed at the Hen House at Martinsville and had provided elderly care. Mary was born Jan. 9, 1932 at Fowler, CO, the daughter of Ernest C. Ferguson and Otha Seaton Ferguson. She married Thomas Comer on Aug. 6, 1961 at Martinsville, IL and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1971. Surviving are a son, Luke (Penny) Comer of Martinsville, IL, two grandchildren, Brittany Boland of Martinsville, IL and Amanda Beabout of Casey, IL and a sister, Zella Hammond of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin Ferguson and Alvis Ferguson and a sister, Doris Herman.

She was a member of the Bluegrass Church of God and was a 1950 graduate of Martinsville High School.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Bluegrass Cemetery with Tom Toner officiating. There will be no visitation.
