Max E. McConchie,68, of Marshall, IL passed away 11:50 AM Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 in Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing. Max loved farm life and had been a dairy farmer for many years. In addition to farming on the family farm he also had worked for Gerald Robinson, Terry Welsh and Larry Welsh on the farm. He had also been employed at GSI at Paris, IL for 17 years. He was born April 22, 1952 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Marion and Wanda Guinnip McConchie. He married Linda Hoopingarner on Sept. 8, 1984 at the Asbury United Methodist church, rural Marshall. Surviving are his wife Linda; a daughter, Wanda (Hayden) Hogan of Marshall; a granddaughter, Gracie Whitzel; two sisters, Phyllis Tolen of New Lenox, IL and Patty (Bill) Foust of Dundas, IL; nieces and nephews, Chris (Samantha) Foust, Angie (Brian) Wright and Dianna Tolen (Ralph) Perrico and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph; a sister-in-law, Donna McConchie and a brother-in-law, Don Tolen. Max was a 1971 graduate of Marshall High School and was very involved with 4-H in his younger years. Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral home with burial following in the Livingston Cemetery. Pastor Tim Duke will be officiating. Visitation will be 12 Noon until service time on Wednesday. For the safety of all, Covid 19 restrictions will be in place.
