Maxine Cline Davidson, 93, of Marshall, IL passed away 2:20 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in the Burnsides Community Health Center at Marshall. She was born January 13, 1921 a Walnut Prairie, Clark Co., IL, the daughter of Ivan Cline and Nellie Kile Cline. She married John W. Davidson on Aug. 20, 1930 at the Zion United Methodist Church parsonage at Marshall, IL and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1978. Maxine was a graduate of Marshall High School. She worked in the high school cafeteria for 10 years and then in the office of Dr. Sam Deahl for 31 years prior her retirement. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, the Marshall Garden Club, the Marshall Antique Club and the Burnsides Guild where she spent many volunteer hours. She spent many hours in the planting and weeding of her flower gardens. Many people will remember the beautiful flowers in the yard of her home. Surviving are a daughter, Janice Davidson of Marshall; a son, Stephen (Becky) Davidson of Marshall; two grandsons, Travis Hibschman of Marshall and Kevin (Amy) Hibschman of Paris, IL; a granddaughter, Calista Davidson of Marshall; two step granddaughters, Jeanee Rechkemmer and Cindy Burkett; great grandchildren, DJ Hibschman, Gage Hibschman of Marshall; a great granddaughter, Kasidy Johnson of Marshall, IL; step great grandchildren, Brittany Rechkemmer, Blake Rechkemmer, Breanna Rechkemmer, Brysta Burkett, Kennedy Burkett and Jantz Snedeker; a brother, Gene Cline of Marshall; a sister, Lois Winland of Ridge Farm, IL and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Burton Cline and a sister, Flora Ann Williamson. Services in honor of her life will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Zion United Methodist Church, rural Marshall. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home and one-hour prior services at the church on Saturday.
