Michael Louis Myles, 64, of Martinsville, IL passed away 5:30 AM Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at his residence following a battle with cancer. Prior to his failing health he was a mechanic owning and operating D & M Automotive. Mike was born Feb. 11, 1953 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Otto and Patricia Lowe Myles. Surviving are his wife, Debbie Patterson Myles; children, Roni Jo (John) Burden of Colombia Station, OH, Jamie L. Pickens Beckum of Springfield, IL, Daniella Myles of Lincoln, IL, Kristopher (Melissa) Myles of Paris, IL, Patrick (Shylah) Pickens of Marshall and E.J. (Heather) Pickens of Martinsville; his father, Otto “Preach” Myles of Martinsville; his mother Patty (Harold) Noyes of Paris; a brother, Nicholas Myles of Marshall and a sister, Angie (Duane) Hartman of Rosedale, IN; 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was a member and Past Commander of Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion and the 40 & 8. He was a 1971 graduate of Marshall High School and had been awarded the honor of an Eagle Scout. Mike had served this nation in the United States Air Force. Services in honor of his life will be 3:00 PM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home with military rites conducted at the funeral home immediately following services. Following cremation, burial will be in the Green Moss Cemetery, rural Clark Co., IL. Visitation will be 12 Noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
