Milton J. "Mike" Van Ness, age 55, of Marshall, IL passed away at 2:39 PM Tuesday October 6, 2015 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

He was born on July 26, 1960 in Capron, IL to Raymond Van Ness Sr. and Mae (Lass) Van Ness. He married Stephanie Malone on January 16, 1982. He was a retired Sawyer form Livingston Sawmill in Marshall, IL.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie of Marshall, IL, Three daughters Valarie Tretter of Marshall, IL, Vicky Van Ness of Fisher, IN, and Ashley Hinkle of Dana, IN, Two Sons Adrian Van Ness of Marshall, IL and Robert Marietta of Marshall, IL, Twelve Grand Children, Seven Sisters Rita Pendergraph of Jacksonville, NC, Chyrle Bracken of Paris, IL, Linda Buss of Davis, IL, Sandy Jackson of Camp Douglas, WI, Margaret Banet of Paris, IL, Brenda Shockley of Dennsion, IL, and Bonnie Sollars of Paris, IL, Two Brothers Ronnie Van Ness of Lerna, IL, and Harold Van Ness of Racine, WI and Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister Roberta Harris, and Three Brothers Raymond Van Ness, Randy Van Ness and Roger Van Ness.

He was an avid gamer and loved music.

Memorial services in honor of his life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday October 9, 2015 at the Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Krista Price Officiating. Burial will be held later in the Dunlap Cemetery.
