Pamela R. Ogle, 70, of Paris, IL, formerly of West Union, IL, passed away 7:07 PM Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021 in IU Health Methodist at Indianapolis, IN. Pam retired from teaching from the Paris Community School District and following retirement she was a substitute teacher. She started her teaching career at Marshall, IL prior to getting a position in Paris. She was born March 29, 1951 at Robinson, IL, the daughter of George and Mary Frances Crow Hopper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Brock Hopper. Surviving are her three children, Sean (Shanna) Ogle of Warner Robins, GA, Mindy (Bruce) Zorn of Paris, IL and Cody Ogle of Paris, IL. grandchildren, Taylor Ogle, Dylan Ogle, Nathan Zorn and Lindsey Zorn and her siblings, Judy (Gary) Crumrin and Johnny (Jackie ) Hopper both of West Union, IL and Mary Ann Hastings of Marshall, IL. Following graduation from Hutsonville High School, she enrolled at Eastern Illinois University and received her teaching degree. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at West Union and truly enjoyed attending the sporting events and activities of her grandchildren. She truly loved teaching and one of her greatest assets was her encouragement and personal satisfaction of helping her students. Services in honor of her life will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home with Steve Dolson officiating. Burial will be in the York Cemetery.
