Samuel L. Shumaker, 75, of Charleston, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 5:43 AM Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center at Mattoon, IL.

He had formerly been employed at Tom's Caf̩ in Marshall and had also worked for several area farmers. He was born March 7, 1939 at Marshall, IL, the son of Benjamin Shumaker and Dorothy Wooton Shumaker.

Surviving are two brothers, David (Denise) Shumaker of Ashmore, IL and Sylvan (Barb) Shumaker of Marshall, IL and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Shumaker.

Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Bro. Jim Shumaker officiating. Burial will be in the Richwoods Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
