William Ray “Duke” Jayne, age 56, of Marshall, IL passed away surrounded by family at 12:39 PM on Sunday April 19th, 2026 at Marshall Rehab and Nursing in Marshall, IL. He was born on April 24, 1969 in Robinson, IL to Tom and LaDora (Weck) Jayne. He formerly worked at Black Jack Knives in Effingham, IL and also in Agriculture. He is survived by his mother, LaDora (Earl)Poe of Marshall, IL; three children Juston Jayne of Hazel Dell, IL; Lilly Jayne of Mattoon, IL and Reggie Vasquez of Texa; two sisters Tammy Hightshoe of Marshall, IL; and Hope Jayne of Hazel Dell, IL;0 two brothers, Richard Jayne of Marshall, IL and Tony Jayne of Marshall, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved being in the outdoors, especially when he was fishing, swimming or hunting. He was preceded death by his father, Tom Jayne; two brothers John Patrick Jayne and Thomas “Jap” Jayne and the mother of his children, Anita Stevens. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
