WIlliam Ray Eggers, 65, was a proud Navy veteran who had a love for Guns and Harley Davidson's took his final ride into the sunset on September 20, 2016. Ray graduated from Hutsonville High School on a friday in May of 1979 and left that Monday for the Navy. He spent the next 12 years in the Navy, State side and a few Tours. During a tour of Italy He would meet Vince Held and Rob Riegle, a tight friendship that would span over he next 40 years. Once back in the states He would meet the love of his life Debbie Wichman. They married on January 2, 1994 and spent the next three decades building a life together. He had lots of titles over the years, his proudest was "Pa" to Dakoda and Maurino, they both survive. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jeanette Eggers, Father in Law Richard Wichman, Sisters Linda Liffick, Sue Ellen Sly, Brother in Laws Joe Riggs, Fred Liffick and Gene Wichman. He is also survived by his Daughter Melaine Stout, Son Nathaniel Goodman, Bothers David (Sally) Eggers, Billy (Sara) Eggers, sisters Judy (Jeff) Mahle, Sara Riggs, Rose Fry, Laura (Debbie) Grider, sister in law Missy Burton, Mother in law Sharon Wichman, Several Nieces and Nephews and Long time Friends Dale Reely, and JR Henson. Services honoring his life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday September 24, 2026 at the Pearce Funeral Home with Military Graveside rites by Clark County Post #90 of the American Legion and VFW Post #5975. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until service time.
